Anyone organising an arts project in West Somerset in 2014 may be eligible to apply for financial support up to the value of £500 from ARTlife, the West Somerset Arts Consortium.

Ray Tew, ARTlife chair, explains: 'ARTlife have been supporting local arts groups for many years and we still may be able to support new projects, or groups who have not yet heard about our grants scheme. Whether it's a one-off event or an arts group with a regular programme, a well-established local group or someone hoping to set up a new organisation, ARTlife may be able to help.'

ARTlife already supports music, drama and dance groups, painting and sculpture projects right across West Somerset. Applications come from voluntary groups, youth groups, activities for people with disabilities, after-school clubs and half-term clubs. For events with paid entry, ARTlife is often able to offer a Guarantee Against Loss, which gives organisers the confidence to go ahead, while for other activities an outright grant may be available. Full Profit commercial activities and grants to individuals are not eligible.

Further details, Terms and Conditions can be found on the ARTlife website, www.artlife-somerset.co.uk, where application forms can be downloaded, or for further advice email Tracey Roberts, ARTlife Coordinator, on info@artlife-somerset.co.uk

Deadlines for applications are: 3rd March and 23rd April
